| These babbitt bearings are typical of those that Atlas routinely repairs. The bearing housings need not be split as we can spray internal diameters as small as 5". Babbitt can be sprayed into bearing housings providing an economical repair. In addition, thermal sprayed babbitt, because of its microporosity, is superior to poured babbitt in that it holds lubricants better, providing longer service life. |  |
